Attorney Taradath Singh, a former police officer, was shot dead in Charlieville. He survived an attack in September.
Attorney-at-law and former police officer Taradath Singh, 53, was shot dead near a gym in Charlieville, Chaguanas, on Tuesday evening, less than a month after he survived a gun attack at his home.
Senior police officials confirmed the shooting occurred at about 6:25 p.m. Preliminary information suggests Singh had left the gym and was walking to his car when gunmen opened fire, the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian reported. He died at the scene. The circumstances of the killing have not been established, and police investigations are continuing.

On Sept. 28, a gunman fired several shots at Singh’s BMW as he reversed into the driveway of his Cunupia home at about 7:35 p.m. He reportedly saw a man in blue coveralls and a cap emerge from bushes opposite the house and point a firearm in his direction. Singh escaped unharmed, and the gunman fled on foot. Police have not said whether the two attacks are linked.
