Commissioner of Police Alister Guevarro has confirmed that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is investigating the discovery of 56 human bodies at a cemetery in Cumuto.
Authorities are treating the matter as an attempted unlawful disposal of human remains, with forensic teams actively working at the scene.
The Northern Division Crime Scene Investigations Unit has begun fingerprinting six adult bodies to assist with identification. Three individuals are currently in custody assisting investigators.
